Bio

Josh Nelson Youssef, an interdisciplinary artist with CAA, founded/headed the Immersive and Interactive Department at JuVee Productions where he produced and directed several projects in Unity and Unreal Engine. He spearheaded in-engine previsualization for numerous projects in-house while at JuVee. In 2020, Youssef produced and was a key creative contributor for The March with Time Magazine, a digital recreation of the March on Washington. He directed Kelly Marie Tran in Miscast 2021, showcasing his diverse talents and complex VFX chops. Recently, he co-created, directed, wrote, and produced Verizon 5G-partnered AR rock operetta, Iago: The Green Eyed Monster, which premiered at the 2022 Tribeca Film Festival and won the 2023 Webby for Best XR DEI experience.

“I AM NOT WHAT I AM”
Step into a dystopian AR rock operetta inspired by Shakespeare’s Othello. The piece features the origin story of the classic Shakespearean villain, Iago, reimagined as a woman. 

The project explores themes of jealousy, microaggressions, and the effects of toxic masculinity from a feminist lens.

STEP INTO HISTORY
The March is a groundbreaking immersive exhibit that recreates one of the most iconic moments in American history, the 1963 March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom.

The March exhibit premiered at the DuSable Museum featuring several levels of immersion, including spatial audio and a genre-pushing ten minute virtual reality experience, to present the most realistic digital rendering of a human ever created.

MISCAST 2021
Kelly Marie Tran plays Elder Price and Elder Cunningham in a live action adaptation of “You And Me (But Mostly Me)” from The Book of Mormon for Miscast 2021, MCC Theater’s annual gala one-night-only musical spectacular featuring Broadway’s hottest stars performing songs from roles in which they would not traditionally be cast.
